
Irina Lebedeva
Born in Russia, Ms. Irina Lebedeva received her professional education at the State Perm Ballet Academy and went on to join the Tchaikovsky Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. She was Prima ballerina at the Perm Theatre. She also performed with the Leningrad Classical Ballet Company and the Moscow Festival Ballet, where she danced as a Principal Dancer.
After arriving in the United States, she continued her career, joining the Eglevsky Ballet, and later transitioned into teaching as an instructor at the Eglevsky School. In 2006, she founded the Long Island Ballet Academy, dedicated to preserving and advancing the Vaganova Method. In addition to her work there, she serves as a ballet coach and choreographer for the Connecticut Ballet Company and teaches at the Connecticut Ballet School.
